Energy deregulation refers to the process of removing government controls over the energy market, allowing consumers to choose their energy suppliers instead of being assigned one by your local utility company.

In layman’s terms, it’s like how you can choose between different cell phone providers instead of being stuck with just one. This leads to more competition, resulting in a wider range of services and rates for consumers.

Yes. Although you will see your new supplier listed on your bill, your local utility company will continue to fully handle your account as usual. This includes meter readings, maintenance, and repairs.

Today! Enter your zip below to get started. You will not lose power during the transition to your new plan and your new plan typically begins within the next 1-2 billing cycles. Remember to contact your current provider regarding early termination fees.

Each utility is different, but a switch typically takes effect in 1-2 billing cycles.

We work closely with trusted, brand name energy brands and with our comparison shopping technology, we find the best possible deals for your energy needs. While different states have different rules and regulations, you can rest assured that Energy Deals will jump through the hoops for the best deals, so you don’t have to.

Pay as you have been doing. Your bill paying process will not change!

Thanks to deregulation, you are able to select the supplier of your energy, while continuing to use your local utility company. The only thing that changes is your rate.

No, your electricity or gas service will not be interrupted and will continue to be delivered by your utility company.

Fixed Plans: A fixed rate has the same rate for a fixed amount of time. These plans typically fall in the 12, 24, or 36 month time frame. Longer terms have been more common. This is for individuals that like to keep their bills predictable and steady.

Flat Plans: Much like fixed plans, Flat offers predictability, but in this case the supply price is the same each month. Plans will have different prices based on the energy usage assumed for each plan. Sometimes these plans have usage maximums in which customers will lose eligibility for the plan if the maximums are exceeded. This is for individuals that are very careful about their energy usage and have a good understanding about what they need in terms of energy.

Renewable Plans: These plans provide energy from renewable sources that might include wind turbines or solar panel farms. This is for individuals that want peace of mind about where their energy is coming from.

For service issues and outages, you should call your local utility company. The toll-free number for your local utility company can be found on your regular monthly bill.

Yes! We partner with several suppliers that offer electricity and gas plans that meet or exceed the renewable energy requirements of each state.
